What does "vegan" mean?

To us, being vegan means that we completely reject the eating and using of animals and animal products.
Among other things, we do not eat meat, no dairy products, no eggs and no honey, plus we avoid products
made from or with leather, wool or other materials taken from animals.
When it comes to detergents and body care products, we make sure to avoid products containing components
gained from animals and prefer those that have not been tested on animals.
We reject zoos and pet shops, equestrianism and circusses.

Why vegan?

Every day millions of animals are killed and "kept" under unacceptable circumstances,
only to be processed into food products, items of clothing, make-up or the like.
Animals are robbed of their fee will, their freedom and their life for the benefit and enjoyment of human
beings.
We reject these actions and try as much as possible not to support them.
Human beings have come to a point of their advancement where their survival
and prosperity do not require the death and exploitation of animals.

Is living vegan healthy?

This question is irrelevant to us, the ethical aspect totally suffices as argument.
Studies on food products and diets tend to always turn out differently with respect to current research,
client interests and applied criteria, and seldom take into account that our metabolism varies individually
due to genetics.

Vegan - then what?

As a large number of vegan products are at the same time organic products and/or fair trade products
Organicand fair traded products, reducing natureīs and manīs exploitation comes as a by-product of living a vegan lifestyle.
Our Foodlist, which includes a great many of "cheap" products, is meant to make the "change" easier,
but need not be the last step.

How do I become a vegan?

With the help of the French philosopherDescartes it is quickly said: I think, therefore I am...vegan.
The moment you start thinking, start asking your conscience, start questioning your habits, customs,
traditions, education and the actions of the masses, and start opening your eyes to the facts;
when you succeed in overcoming your laziness and ignorance and are no longer able to push the known
injustices to the back of your mind, arguing with unalterable realities, that is the moment you start
realising that you have to become vegan.
